The discomfort coming from the SIJ joint structures is referred to as sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain. In general, SIJ dysfunction describes the abnormal position or movement of SIJ components, which may or may not cause discomfort. In addition to presenting the most recent information on the diagnosis and treatment of SIJ problems, this study tries to define the differences between these clinical concepts. The inter-examiner reliability of tests for SIJ dysfunction is often low. The validity of the testing for this illness is uncertain since a reference standard for SIJ dysfunction is not easily accessible.
